NOTTINGHAM OLYMPIC GREYHOUND STADIUM

Although Nottingham is more famous now for its Colwick Park racecourse and adjacent greyhound stadium, the city once had a greyhound track located on the Olympic Grounds on Trent Lane and situated at 1° 7' W 52° 56' N. The track was launched in August 1931, sharing its facilities with the Cities successful speedway team.

Racing continued at the venue until September 1932 when plans were afoot to develop the area and build a much grander stadium. See Nottingham White City.
